This lab teaches and reinforces a students knowledge on how to calculate density, volume (using displacement). It is a lab based off of the Phet Simulation of Density and Buoyency. Students will place blocks of different mass, density, and volume into water trying to predict which objects would float and which would not. When students are finished they should have a better understanding of mass, volume and density and how they relate to each other.
